Jesus told us there would be wheat and weeds in his kingdom in the last days. He said to let both grow together. The wheat will be evident and God will remove the weeds.

Jesus acknowledges that there is an enemy in the land sowing weeds but the wheat is growing too. In 1 Corinthians 15 we see that Jesus is currently reigning as King and he's busy destroying the enemies in His kingdom, which is in our midst now.

1 Corinthians 15:24 Then comes the end, when He delivers the kingdom to God the Father, when He puts an end to all rule and all authority and power. 25 For He must reign till He has put all enemies under His feet. 26 The last enemy that will be destroyed is death.

His conclusion is in spite of the fact that there are weeds, His Kingdom will prevail. He is at work through His church destroying his enemies. He is accomplishing this through his church. We may have bad days ahead of us on planet earth but Jesus' plan is the restoration of all things. Be prepared to deal with the weeds, but don't neglect the wheat. Be kingdom-minded. Don’t allow a pessimistic view of the future to render you ineffective for the kingdom. Be bold in our time, proclaim the Gospel, and don’t let the enemy win the day.
