Prayer is a time to renew your mind to what God said. We must start with what we know and build a framework of truth. Truth is based on what God has said and done, specifically through the atoning work of Jesus.

Once we’re in a finished work mindset internally, we can pray God’s truth outwardly into our lives and the world around us. Those prayers must be consistent with God’s truth. The ultimate truth is that all things are possible for those who believe.

If we allow anything other than that mindset to limit our prayer life we must go back to what we know about God and pray in a manner that is consistent with what he’s accomplished in Christ, pray in a way that honors God’s character and pray in a way that expects to see God’s will established.
