God Fights For You
You SHALL Inherit the Promise
By an act of faith, Abraham said yes to God’s call to travel to an unknown place that would become his home. When he left he had no idea where he was going. By an act of faith he lived in the country promised him, lived as a stranger camping in tents. Isaac and Jacob did the same, living under the same promise. Abraham did it by keeping his eye on an unseen city with real, eternal foundations—the City designed and built by God. Hebrews 11:8-10
Moses knew he was called of God but he tried to accomplish that task in his own strength. He committed murder trying to fulfill the calling of God on his life. That happens in ministry all the time, people have a legitimate call but end up killing people to fulfill their call. The next thing you know you’re running and hiding because you tried to do it by your own strength.
There’s a principle in God’s Kingdom that says the measure we meet is in proportion to the measure we get back, yet he seeks to multiply even what we put in. There’s this place of abiding in him that is sometimes so easy and other times feels so far away. It’s like we’re looking for this city. When we think this world system is our provider, we’re locked into our own efforts and what God can do through our own hearts. When we’re abiding in him and remaining in spirit, we have abundant life effortlessly/naturally growing out of us.
Do you want this life to be a war or do you want to enter his Holy City and enjoy his rest? There’s a lot of work to do out of his rest but it’s from a place of completion, righteousness, and all provision.
